Dowen College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school for the children aged 11 to 18. Dowen offers a broad and balanced education within a friendly, caring and happy environment.
  We pride ourselves in focusing on the individual student because we appreciate the fact that each child is unique. We mould our students to be global citizens therefore a fully integrated international curriculum is employed in the syllabus. For this reason also, class sizes are limited to a maximum of 20 students. Emphasis is placed on the moral development and excellence through diligence, honesty, discipline, integrity, and respect for others.
Located on the heart of a beautiful Regency town of Lekki in Lagos, we have created a nurturing environment where our students benefit from participation in the local community.
Our comfortable and homely Boarding and Day houses are walking distance from the college and the student walk regularly to and fro, developing a sense of responsibility and independence from an early age.
With over 420 students, College today is a vibrant, dynamic and warm community. Our children thrive on expert teaching, small classes, state -of-the-art facilities and a vast range of extra-curricular activities. Our students are also enterprising, friendly and ambitious. They exhibit wonderful energy that fuels the vehicle of their purpose. Our academic results are impressive and our students go on to study at international renowned universities where we have established strong networks.

Our primary ambition is to see that all our students leave Dowen with the skill and confidence to cope with whatsoever challenges life will throw their way, with a close circle of friends to support them through years ahead and with gloriously happy memories of their school days.
